I already have plenty of rounds from last season. I like squares better, I can waste a cutting and still have more than I need. The grass really filled in by waiting and is really thick. Won't dry without good weather. I hear you though, there are a couple of rainy days forecast for this week, then it looks like a dry spell.
How many bales a year do you need usually? I know a lot more than I do. I think it takes 5-6 goats to equal 1 cow hay wise. So that puts me a 5 to 6 head, if they were cows.
I was going to procrastinate today, but I am putting it off until tomorrow.
I fed 275 round bales last winter. It was a tough season. Too many cows on poor pasture. Had to start feeding early, and fed late into the spring. I adjusted the herd size.....
