Hey Brent, What tractor do you have that has points. My TO-20 has them, as do my Gravelys. Just curious.
Larry
It might be a Johnny Cash tractor.
Trans serial number(where they put the tractor #) says 1946.
Allis Chalmers model C.
Engine is a kerosene burner from an Allis power unit engine, and so is the hood. Still has the brass tag from whatever piece of road building equipment it came from, and the holes for the gasoline starter tank.
It has hydraulic lift and PTO.
Currently just stays hooked to a 6' trailer brush hog to cut that little 2 acre field.
Its worn out and needs a lot of work to be "field ready", but those are tough little bastids, and it always gets the job done. May need the crud filed off the points or some trash blown out of the carb, but they are simple to work on.
I have a 1948 Ford 8N at our house for small chores.
Its pretty much the same as the Allis. Needs a lot of work, but good enough for what I need it for.
What Gravelys do you have?
I used to have a Super convertible for a bit. Tough little machines.
We have a Proturn 460, but I dont consider it to be one of the "true"Gravelys.
