It's a diesel Ed, and currently has a hole in the intercooler. No butterfly to create vacuum, but as you say some sort of mass air imbalance is being picked up by the ecu.
New IC tomorrow or Saturday and that will stop my stupid questions.

On this subject anyway.

Duh, I forgot and thought it was a gasser.
Any "unmetered" air in and they get funky.

Code is P00BD. Air flow meter voltage out of range.

No throttle over run. When you are off the accelerator pedal, braking even, coasting down hill. Ie, minimal exhaust gas to drive the turbine to drive the Kompressor for the vnt to make any boost.

Is this a Tier4 interim class engine Adam. If so it may have an exhaust pressure sensor in exhaust manifold. Our 4 Finals do not but early Interims did. With a boost leak carbon can build up in exhaust stream and because of poor calibrations plug this sensor. I didn't look up your code. Would need some truck/engine info to do so. Just a wide left stab here guy
Also we have a test called MAF Drift test. It checks Mass flow, charge temp//pressure, and exhaust flow parameters. Is there such a test for this Isuzu?

I have a standing job offer in Halifax, my wife won’t even consider it as there isn’t enough heat in the summer. Our winters may be cold but our summers get hot too.

Don’t get me wrong, NS can see 30c summer days, but you go within 5km of those shoreline and it’s much cooler. Halifax is fairly warmer during the summer in comparison to southern NS. We get much more fog etc
