When yer nostril hairs start crystalizing u know it's gettin cold. never had me eye lids frozen shut before lol. IIRC the coldest I've ever went outside into was -28c with a windchill of -35. no good, anything below -10 really I'm no good

The winters in nova scotia is about that of Vancouver, mild winter. Couldn't do a Manitoba or Michigan winter. We get mild summers too from ocean cooling effect/lots wind

Why do you think this leaky intercooler truck of mine would throw the code on no throttle over-run?
I totally get the 'boost leaking out the hole' logic, but the ecu is detecting 'sucking' in too?

What's the code?
Leaks in the exhaust can cause certain codes to set.

And what exactly is a no throttle over run?

Code is P00BD. Air flow meter voltage out of range.

No throttle over run. When you are off the accelerator pedal, braking even, coasting down hill. Ie, minimal exhaust gas to drive the turbine to drive the Kompressor for the vnt to make any boost.

Adam, it's basically saying the amount of air entering the engine isn't the same as air exiting.
Did you leak test the induction system?
Diesels have the benefit of monitoring the airflow leak equivalency ratio which tells you based off how it's skued if it's a leak in the boosted side or exhaust side.

Being a gasser, if you have no induction system leaks, next check for pcv leaks or engine vacuum leaks. You said you replaced the maf?

I have a standing job offer in Halifax, my wife won’t even consider it as there isn’t enough heat in the summer. Our winters may be cold but our summers get hot too.

It's a diesel Ed, and currently has a hole in the intercooler. No butterfly to create vacuum, but as you say some sort of mass air imbalance is being picked up by the ecu.
New IC tomorrow or Saturday and that will stop my stupid questions.

On this subject anyway. :)
