Morning fellas. We have to finish up servicing everything and I need to get the new dozer in the shop before the rain so I can put a brush bar on top of the blade. These new dozer blades aren’t as thick on top so I am a little worried about how this one will hold up. I’ve never had one fail in the past, but there is a first time for everything, lol.

What is the end goal with the cows Justin? Meat? Breeding? Milking?

Meat first, then breeding. I’ve pulled enough tits in my life to do me. Hope to never have to again. I’m not above it, just don’t want to.

What kind of schedule are you working?

Thursday thru Sunday 11pm to 9am. So 4 ten hour shifts with Monday-Wednesday off.

I didn't have a bull for the first couple of years that I kept cows. I'd take my cows to my brother in law's place for a couple of months in the summer for his bull to service them. Worked out well.

I just recently met one of my neighbors with about 150 total acres but he’s got 20 beside me and him being 87 years old I’m hoping I can barter some labor for that very type of service.

That's how it should work. Good neighbors are a blessing.

Wrapped up my work week with a pretty light night. Definitely welcomed because the rest of the week I’ve been busy. Gotta put brakes on my wife’s car this afternoon. Basketball game for my son this evening.

I hope to buy a couple cows this spring when I get enough grass to keep them alive.
Will have to sell a kidney to get a couple of cows now😂

Considering the price of cattle, I'd go ahead and buy a couple of bred cows. Come out ahead in the end.
If I was gonna get back into it full time that's what I would do.i'm just wanting some calves to turn out in the spring and sell in the fall.too dam lazy to feed during the winter😂

Good afternoon, slackers!
I've cleaned up a bit, but the damn box with 346 parts hasn't turned up yet, and because this isn't my day I can't get the 346 boot clamp on.

Now I'm going to take my evening meds, a cup of tea, and then find bed
