I like it. With all the kids, my white pickets have been wiped down so many times that they need paint. I might try the black this time.
I found the Sherwin Williams Emerald urethane enamel hoods up great! It isn’t cheap but dries
super hard and durable.

Boy took 2nd place today - he wrestled well and stayed focused. Lost in Sudden Death overtime - there were no points scored the first 3 periods. It was a fun match!
I got to do something I've not done in 20 years today.....scout timber🤸 I told the landowner if I had some of your shroom powder I could just fly around and look at it instead of walking😂

Here's that bull calf I picked up a few weeks ago. I think he's going to be ok. View attachment 449919

I am curious about raising Herefords and Angus and how/if that affects your bottom line?

Around here Angus is advertised as a premium beef and commands a higher price than just "beef"

Is there a reason you raise more than one breed and do you keep the breeds separated or just let them mix and match

I started with all Angus. Then we started running two bulls. An Angus, and a Hereford. The Angus was beginning to get older, and sorta mean, so we sold him. At the time Black Baldie (Angus/Hereford cross) calves were selling for more than straight Angus, so it was a smart move. The reason for the higher price is that the Baldie hybrid grows faster. Now we have too many red calves, because we are breeding Black Baldies back to a Hereford bull. That's the reason we are going back to an Angus bull. The Angus over the red cows will also make a Baldie. And likely will with the Baldie cows too.
