How does the 351m and the 400m have the same deck height, same rods, but different strokes. Are the pistons different too? I am seriously asking as it doesn't make sense in my mind. Unless the piston is taller on the 351m.
No personal knowledge - but a Ford forum says-
"The 351M uses the same block and heads as the 400, with a shorter stroke crankshaft (3.50"), the same connecting rods, and a unique piston with a taller compression height to compensate for shorter stroke with the same rods in the same block. In fact, the only functional difference between the 351M and 400 is the crankshaft and pistons. Ford did use slightly different components in the 351M and 400, such as harmonic balancers, camshafts, and valve springs, but functionally, the engines were identical except for the crankshaft and pistons. "

I've been buying used, with luck it's one of the 04 cranks that's good.
So I got hold of some light G flywheels, so I've studied them a bit from 96 and newer, it simply seems that Husqvarna went back to them before 1990 to get better cooling, then I have some of them too.
My 242G from 1990 will be complete with the light flywheel, and with a little luck the 246G from 1996 will take shape too if one of them has a crank good enough.

None of what I bought today was cheap, but it might be good to build together something that has been in the attic for 6-7 years.

If memory serves me right, the 351m/400 was ford's idea to compete with the chevy 400 small block. The 351m was their way of having 2 different displacement engines from the same block. The problem is the 351m/400 is not a small block. It is a medium block because of size and weight.

Done under the house. New tub is trapped and connected to the drain pipe. We are only a couple feet above the lake here, so it was wet.
It's amazing how much of that glue you can cover your hands with when you're laying on your back and don't give AF.
I even managed to avoid knocking any of grandpa's ~70 year old flared fittings loose on the feed lines. This time...

New Port Jobs?
Or just need to get the plastic bearings lubricated on them?
New...but needs lube.

Definitely having a "not so pro" day. Evidently i put way too much coffee in my coffee pot last night. Only got through half a pot this morning and my heart was beating out of my chest. Then I took a shower, got dressed, went to comb my hair and noticed i had not rinsed the shampoo out of it.

At least you're going to church. I feel bad for not going. I volunteer in the parking lot and I just didn't feel like being out in this mess.
Ah, so the devil just needs to tempt you with some fog and a few rain drops to keep you outta’ church?! 😳

I’m teasing. We stay home once in a while too. In fact, I missed every Sunday in November, due to deer hunting.

Actually it wasn't so much the rain, I've been out in it many times, gotten soaked holding umbrellas for ladies that didn't have one. It was mostly just needing a break from all the Christmas chaos. I did watch the service online.

That’s always a nice option - the silver lining of C19 is that a lot of churches resorted to streaming services, when they hadn’t had that option before.

True. It was ridiculous that the liquor stores were deemed essential businesses and allowed to open but churches were not.
