@3browns . I set up the vise tonight and even managed to tie up a couple San Juan View attachment 441892Worms. Not quite as easy as the YouTube guys make it look.

I fished the San Juan a lot when we lived in Northern New Mexico and Arizona and that was a great pattern even back then

They first tied them on a wide gape hook with an offset eye, essentially like a bait hook and we found out it was driving the hook up into their eyes when we set the hook

The mortality rate was terrible so we got away from them until they figured out a better hook pattern like the one you are using

Practice makes perfect and fish generally can't tell the difference

What ends up happening as you get better is your flies look better but the big part is they last a lot longer

I think it's called wonder dust.i used it on cows, horses and dogs.now me too most farm stores carry it.

Put powder on it and a wet tea bag.the tannins in tea clots blood too.

I was skinning out some caribou legs for a lady who wanted them for mukluk tops and I sliced myself on the back of my hand

Not huge, it just took 3 stitches

The caribou legs had been sitting around for a while and I ended up with a blood infection that progressed all the way up my arm and started down towards my heart, and I had to get IV antibiotics

The school nurse noticed discoloration around my collarbone and made me take my shirt off and say the angry red track up my arm

To add insult to injury, when I got to the ER I told them I was allergic to Penicillin and the doctor said I am giving you something in the penicillin family but it is several generations away and won't bother you

Within 30 seconds I went into severe anaphylactic shock and they had to push epinephrine hard and fast to pull me back

i am allergic to amoxicillin which is in that family
they found that out when i had a lymph node removed from under my arm when i was 11

The boss is deathly allergic to Tylenol and I can't count the number of times nurses have tried giving it to her in the hospital

I mean is it only in giant black letters on a florescent orange sticker on her wrist and her med chart

There are damn few OTC medications for colds and flu and stuff that don't have Tylenol in them
