Have a 2014 have done brakes timing belt and changed trans fluid,, 220,000 kilometers, lots on gravel road.
Bros daughter has same car,, nothing but trouble,, so who knows,,
I had told my sister just drive it until it fails
Because it never once had any transmission issues other than having to override the shifter
But so far the dealership techs said it hasn't happened again they tested it several times
Hopefully they don't beat her up to bad on the bill.
I've never seen a vehicle last long after a trans fluid and filter change i don't know why.

"The trendy shoe retailer also noted it would focus more of its operations at factory bases in Brazil, Mexico, Vietnam and Cambodia."

Steve, I think this very much matches some of what I said the other day. I don't see any indication that this is better for America, just less business in China.
The thing is, they are moving, some will offshore somewhere, and some will return stateside. Had he not brought up tariffs, would they have moved at all. Bunch of negative ninnies around here. Keep looking for negatives, you will find them.

Mine doesn’t even have a dipstick

It’s a sealed system

A bit over 200,000 and never touched

I wish I had done it every 50,000 but Toyota said no

If I did it now, even just a partial drain and top off it’s 99.9% guaranteed to lunch the tranny

I've refrained from being negative. And intend to keep much of what I'd like to say to myself. The people have spoken, we are going to see how things work out.

I look at outsourcing or bringing home jobs this way (yep, it's happened to all of us).

Manual industrial jobs, ie part production, where the production is as the fingers and hands can move, mostly do not have the right to life in a high-cost country.

If we want high wages, we must be willing to give up jobs that no longer deliver profit.
And company profit is also what is needed to renew workplaces. Without profit, the company slowly but surely dies out.

You have obviously found out that what is produced in China can be jacked up 60%, when the jobs are back (unlikely) the parts will cost 60% more as well, which means that what you buy has become more expensive, and that American brands have become less competitive.
