I'll answer best I can.
@Steve knows more about those things than I do however.
I'm trying to figure out how to check the cam timing....not just the timing marks. It throws a code that the timing is off.....but after pulling the timing cover, I can see that it ain't. I suspect the cam phasers, but would like to know how to check to be sure.

Good afternoon folks,

I'm almost there, a small shipment of contacts is waiting.
During the weekend I will order cables from UK, it will take another week before they are with me.

The Rocker Switches from Amazon are okay, the only annoying thing is that the connection points are different from Carling, glad I bought an original switch so I could see that.
In my plan I wanted plug & play, maybe I end up using the actuators and buy oem, or I have to have an intermediate link.

Afternoon slackers. Therapy said there is definitely work that needs to be done yet. Tried to go to work after and that wasn’t a good idea. The knee really was not liking the first set of stairs. Did the job and said best not push it so I went home. Hopefully tomorrow it’s not worse but therapy said it could be

Who rubbed my lamp?
Ed rattled your cage.
What's going on Randy?
08 Jeep 2.4.

Cam timing codes.

Replaced both cam sensors, and the crank sensor. Code remains.

Took timing cover off. Timing marks are not off.

I'm thinking something could be wrong with the cam phasers.

Thoughts?

You may have a stretched chain of which doesn't take much. Just an extra 1/8" of length will cause that. How far is your tensioner plunger out of the tensioner body? That's a real quick way to check chain stretch.

You could also have a spun reluctor ring on the crankshaft. But highly unlikely.

Usually if the phaser is at fault it will run terrible or not at all.

In the infinite wisdom of engineers, the upper trailing link bolt on a Traverse is installed with the head towards the body and the nut on the accessible outside of the subframe.

So rather than take 15 minutes to replace that suspension component, I have to remove the entire rear subframe..

View attachment 428145

Warranty time on that job is 5 hours.
If they had flipped the bolt it would legitimately be a 30 minute repair time.
Did you flip the fasteners to save future Ed some time?
