A few simple solutions, cows or just let it grow. Spray deck with silacone or pam. Concrete the yard, paint it green or sand and a few pots of cactus.
Just let it grow till it bothers the OCD neighbor till he cuts it. This is my preferred method but i have to repair his mowers so it works out.

Remember grass only grows so tall then it falls over.

Now for a real problem, since i turned 65 the government wants me to have an eye test in order to renew my drivers license.
Judging by what happens on the roads around here good vision is only used when signing the ticket.

Here you can renew by mail/online once or twice without having to go in and use the HIGHLY inaccurate eye test machines

I think in a year and a half when I hit 70 I have to go in and get the eye test just because I ran out of mail ins

As far as I know there aren't any laws like yours but maybe I better check

So far I have passed the test in Hawaii and Alaska without glasses
