Front on the cam on the 5.4 3v is a phaser that uses oil pressure to change the timing for the cam. Above it is the solenoid that changes oil flow and on the front of the head is the cam sensor.

So I’m sure they use pretty much the exact same set up on all newer fords with variable timing

Morning scratch & sniffers, another day another dollar down, pulled some elk steak out the freezer for dinner tonight, just have to remember to get some pellets after work.

Here in the midwest, we don’t get to eat Elk often, but whenever I can, I do! Just had an Elk roast earlier this week.

That is because you don’t know someone who raises it. There is a guy just outside of town that raises and sells the meat. I know quite a few people who purchase elk from them. They say it’s very good.

That is because you don’t know someone who raises it. There is a guy just outside of town that raises and sells the meat. I know quite a few people who purchase elk from them. They say it’s very good.

I actually know 2 people that have elk farms here.

Edit: but I prefer free range..

If you were closer I would invite all you over for dinner & a drink, I build custom rifles for some die hard hunters, I give them a discount on the build & they share their bounty with me, I have a freezer full of deer, elk, bear & bison. This is the rifle that slayed the elk, full custom build chambered in 280 rem.

This was towed in back in February. It was a long, drawn out process with the aftermarket rebuilder.
Almost 2 years to the exact date I replaced this engine for the same thing, customer ran it out of oil and popped it...
They ended up doing a warranty on the engine, customer pays labor.
IfI had been deciding the meathead would have been S.O.L.
