was wondering has anyone used a middle buster? Looks like a single bigger chisel plow. Just wondering how they work because I’m looking for a one bottom plow and was wondering if this would work in place of it. I have some small fields I want to plow up. 3 pt one bottom plows are pricey.

I have a 7.3 that is having trouble turning fast enough to fire off. I'm going to chitcan it in favor of a 460 gasser I believe.

The truck my dad runs for hauling logs has a 7.3 IDI. Used to have all sorts of trouble getting it to start. He had a slow fuel leak between the tank and injection pump, as well as bad leakoff lines on the injectors that were leaking all over everything because they were stiff from age. Fixed the fuel leak, replaced the leak off lines, and it's a little better. He has resorted to using ether

I've never seen a 7.3 with some miles on it start without cranking the piss out of it. Or maybe it's just the worn out junk we run around using

Power stroke or idi
IDI. Which is why I'm not real excited about having to put money into it.

I use one for getting taters out. Can't see it working well for a turning plow.

we call those potato plows
not really meant for hard stuff
if need to break something up you can get a subsoiler which is alot smaller than the potato plow

What are you looking to do ?
A garden or do you have hard ground or rocky ground ?
Hard packed old fields at my shack and house to work up along with my sister in law wanting me to plow her field so the can plant it. I just have my 25hp John Deere so needs to be small. Was looking at 4’ tillers also but they’re like 2800$ and I’m not sure how well they would work in 50 year old fields

Weight for traction may be the problem now
What model 25hp degree you got? Dallas is right, weight for traction is going to be your problem. Wheel weights and loaded tires are going to be your friend.
