Morning / Evening All. I hope all my neighbours in ND and MN are ready, the north winds are kicking up again, 20mph gusting to 35. Temps will be dropping again. The good news is it is actually keeping the weather below us but it looks like most will be warm enough to get rain not snow. Our day time “high” is about 18 degrees cooler than it is now.

We need moisture or it’s going to be a bad year for fires

High here is supposed to be 51 today.

Fires have already been bad. It’s a fuel box waiting for a spark out here right now…
Weather forecast is all over the place here. Yesterday claimed snow Friday, rain 60% for Sat, and over 80% for moistures Sunday.
Today the before weekend possibilities are almost non-existent, Sat. dropped to 28%, Sunday still @80%. Wait a day or to for more guesses . . .
And it's be a bit breezy here since Sunday evening as well.

That's an odd issue. I'd take a closer look at the starter. Have you tried jumping it straight to the starter pole?

I am planning to try that this morning as well. Local starter shop tested it - in front of me - and it tested good. Bendix went all the way out, and works as it should. So it should engage if I jump it.
On one of the Ferds we had similar issues, which were finally resolved by changing out the starter relay. The internal relay contacts were found to be the culprit.
