Hard packed old fields at my shack and house to work up along with my sister in law wanting me to plow her field so the can plant it. I just have my 25hp John Deere so needs to be small. Was looking at 4’ tillers also but they’re like 2800$ and I’m not sure how well they would work in 50 year old fields

If you can find a tiller, they are worth the money behind a compact tractor. I tried a 2 bottom behind my rig and didn't have enough traction even with 300lbs of rocks in the loader bucket.

I have a 50" bush hog branded tiller I use behind my LS mt125, and I have had no troubles turning over anything. Ive tilled plowed farmland that was mostly clay, virgin praire that had just been brush hogged, grass and sod that hadnt been farmed in 30 years... and it works awesome. Only thing that will stop it is a softball sized rock, which locks it up and then the driveshaft slipper clutch will do its thing.

Not everyone has a dossier on people here.
lol i remember all that has pissed me off and how a old thread got reopened yesterday lol
chris has never upset me and nice and friendly even in person
i also try remembering tractors others have also
1025R weighs 1444 pounds. Not enough weight I am afraid.
his has loader so should be more
the industrial r4 tires on them suck for traction because they are stiff
can try the plow but alot of guys use rototillers as suggested
My 2640 with the tires loaded, and the loader attached weighs about 9500lbs.
and yours is 2wd nd my 2550 is close to the same and 4wd

The 2025r is one of the best sellers, looked at the 2032 if i remember right but no cab option. Mine has turf tires too
i thought the 1025 was best seller
and the 2 series small ones was prone to have electrical issues and burn
the loader i have on my little tractor is off a 2023 and would be about 10 years old or more now

The 2025 r was a complete update the year I bought mine and is actually a little John Deere not rebranded yanmar. It’s similar to a 1025 but the frame is 7-8” longer has bigger tires ect. They still make my newest style 2025r.

Why not a chevy small block it's the cure all for any make of vehicle there is
Simple robust and runs.
Because it’s stupid whatever brand of vehicle it is should have that brand of engine. 460 swap into a bull nose won’t be that hard and I bet Randy has a parts truck with everything there

I had a 51 Ford F1 that I SBC swapped.....and a Fox Body Mustang......and a Chevy Luv. LOL

And.....I've just finished building a hot SBC for a 87 Dodge Dakota that I have.

But......when it comes to big block engines, I prefer the Ford engines.
