That's an odd issue. I'd take a closer look at the starter. Have you tried jumping it straight to the starter pole?
I am planning to try that this morning as well. Local starter shop tested it - in front of me - and it tested good. Bendix went all the way out, and works as it should. So it should engage if I jump it.

You can test your grounds the same way. Ground it directly to the starter, but allow the power to come through the cable, or.....the opposite.

I have good grounds now. Earlier I did remove the starter, with the wires still hooked, and grounded it to the frame, and it worked as it should then too. I’m thinking I have a problem with the wire or connections between the starter button and the solenoid - getting some amperage, but not enough.

Is the engine grounded to the frame well enough?

i have a 34 year old neice that still doesnt listen and she gets hell anytime around me
Yeah....I'm over it too. I'd hoped it would be good for the youts to get some "real world experience", but I see that allowing them to hang out in this thread was a bad idea.

Neither of them can reply in this thread any longer.
hooray
now get censors turned off lol
For the best. They just aren’t mature enough to handle it in here. And neither of them listen when given directions, or extremely heavy hints.
your fault for not teaching them right
Like Dallas....but younger?

High probability.

It is true. And you were warned several times. Remember yesterday? I gave you advice and some heavy hints to chill out, or to read and listen and not to answer to every post being made. You ignored all my posts to you directly. The only time you replied to me, was when I asked someone else a question - you then replied as if I asked you, which I didn’t. You aren’t following basic directions, kid. I tried to help you, along with Larry, and you let us down. And I have certainly taken crap for even trying to help you. You best listen to this: take a step back and read the conversations. Don’t post so much until you have a clear understanding of the topic. Your ignorance is showing, and so is your immaturity.
lol who has been giving you crap ? do i need to internet beat them up for you ?
