You just click the bell, ignore the reacted and go to the oldest reply. Takes a minute to read and catch up. Or are you a slow kid?
If you haven’t figured it out yet, I don’t think he is the only slow one

Can't bring yourself to admit, that I might know something you don't. Hubris at its finest. I am sure you could teach me stuff. As could everyone here. Hell, even them two kids could i bet. They know about stuff I never even heard of. I don't have a high horse like you do though. Lol
When you’re a midget like Dallas all horses are high

'97, 2.0 automatic. It's a rare sight up here, too, especially living in the rust belt. I have a love/hate relationship with this POS. I love its fuel economy, and how agile it is. I hate it, because it's gutless without having a 5 speed manual, and it's a Ford Escort. I was genuinely considering junking it instead of doing brakes.

$157 for rotors, pads, drums and shoes from rock auto.... that changed my mind. 34-38mpg in the summer ain't bad, either

I guess all my tools are junk, too lol
Look at all those junk Milwaukee tools. You know the ope cordless tool guru says so.

A few of these guys seem to be on here at work. Like @redline4 posts pics of the cars he’s workin’ on and @GCJenks204 has popped in I think. I don’t work much in Winter, in summer tho, I’ll be on here a lot less as I do lots of lawn care and such.
I wonder if we can forget spring and go right to summer.

Send them to him. He has fancy grinders lol.
Yeah, send them to Dallas, he has a Grindr.

I thought you were saying you had an idea what they were for. Of course it was one of our genius engineers. After years of putting 24 cores on a tray, someone decided that 36 is better. So 36 core stacks with small squares of a high density foam between them. Naturally, they developed a tipping problem and cores hit the ground, at which point they are scrap. The modern aluminum core materials are so ridiculously thin it's a miracle any make it out the door. The "fix" is those bars shoved in the ends of the carts with the foam balls so as to not damage the core when it makes contact. Not a specialized foam that may last a minute, but bottom dollar #chinafoam. If you ever want to see things wear out, go to a factory. There are places in the plant where aluminum fin material about the consistency of Reynold's Wrap has worn grooves in stainless steel.
Oh I wouldn't have guessed their use but I immediately figured this was one of your engineer pals' ideas. Doesn't surprise me one bit Tim. I firmly believe good engineering requires two strong skill sets- you've got to be good at math and even better at problem solving. Lots of people become engineers because they are good at math, meanwhile they totally suck at problem solving. Case in point with these foam balls. If you're good at math and bad at solving problems, become an accountant and save everyone a lot of grief.

I have all dewalt tools for the simple reason is they’re on sale where my wife works fairly often and she started buying me them so I’ll continue just because it’s senseless to have 3 different brands of tools to keep batteries for. Honestly all the pro level tools are probably fairly close. But I really don’t know the ins or outs of them other than they work and that’s all I care. I also have the opinion the best battery chainsaw is the msa300 but I’m to cheap to spend almost as much money to get it as a 500i with the weight of a 400 and power of rhe 261. Dang thing is like 12-1300$ for the saw with two ap 500 batteries and a charger.
