Okay, I’ll definitely consider the spraying with diesel and used oil. There’s not a whole lot of the cab corners left…The brake lines are new. I know the fuel lines fail on these a decent bit; my neighbor is replacing the fuel line on a Silverado slightly newer than mine for a friend, quite the job. I’ll be changing the oils very soon.As i have owned dozen of trucks
The first thing you need to do is undercoat everything we use 50/50 mix diesal and used motor oil in a sprayer or spray bottle to prevent further rusting
These guy's here might have a better concoction
But spray everything on the frame especially the cab corner's
Brake and fuel lines fail because of rust my brake line ruptured last week it rusted through
Change oil and gear oil when you can
Otherwise they are good trucks they rust like any brand does.
