My friend a vet tech who killed a spike last year and had it mounted her first deer and will kill again this year.
Was crying trying to find a humane painless way to kill her tumor infested goldfish
No joke she ordered something at her clinic to kill it.
I offered to shoot it with a 1911 or put it in the barrel of a 12 gauge shotgun
but she wouldn't let me.

Morning / Evening All. Grey start to the day but warm for the time of year. Will be heading in to the city to see Keith and then our regular season home finale football game. Will be going back for a play off game Nov 11.

Had a bit of an unusual day yesterday, awoke to an email from the head of one of our supplier partners asking if I had time for a coffee today. My first thought is that it is unusual for anyone to travel to Winnipeg without scheduling a meeting in advance, even more unusual in that this guy is based out of Austria. My first reaction is either this is a phishing email that looks very real, or is must be a virtual coffee. I replied and a while later I get the “No, I’m going to be in Winnipeg this afternoon, do you have time to get together. Of course I rearrange my schedule to make time but still didn’t have a clue what was going on. We went for lunch, had a great discussion that felt a lot like a job interview.

After it as over I called a friend of mine that used to work for this company to see if he knew anything and he hadn’t heard of any openings but figured they are looking to shake things up. I guess I impressed him enough in our brief introduction in September and his talking with others in the industry that he wants me on his team.

Will see what comes of if but may need to make a change after almost 24 years with the same company.

Morning Peeps. Got my Saturday off to a solid start with a flat tire at o’dark thirty. Luckily it was at the house and I had the floor jack and the trusty Milwaukee to get the spare on real quick like. Beautiful drive down the mountain above the clouds. A rather uneventful rest of the day. Brought down a big dead pine in tight quarters and made into firewood.

Opening day of Blackpowder here today.
I went this morning but it's too crowded for me.
Left my Thermacell at home OF COURSE!
Mosquitoes were BAD.
BIGGUNS!
I saw one that had a Bumblebee in its mouth!
Slapped myself unconscious trying to keep those bastoids off me!
