Curious minds want to know... Is the brass item a calling horn? The other gear for surveying? Coffee or Tea in the thermos? Mulled cider? Something a lil bit stronger?
Thanks for asking.
Coffee in the thermos, was quite windy so it warmed well.
Vape equipment so that I get some nic in me lol, it's been three years since I last had a real cigarette.
The brass horn is a calling horn, most of the time she chooses to close her ears, today, on the other hand, she was a bit cooperative and picked up the signal perfectly, 700 meters away.
Never managed to call her in from such a distance before.

The only negative from today is that she has eaten some salami minced meat somewhere in the forest since she threw it up indoors, let's hope it is without things like poison in it, should she go away, someone will follow her down...
I might take the dog tracker with me tomorrow when I go to the psych and walk the last half hour she was chasing deer, just want to know where she chewed things in herself...

Your looking at peak beagle performance here Tor IMG_20231011_154938.jpg
He'll hang out in the mule until we go in the woods then he take's off killing
He killed and ate three rabbits that day.
Everyone here says condensed milk will help if a animal gets sick
I can't really say I've never had to give it to any of mine.

The Beagle used to be popular here in Norway, a combi dog on both hare and deer.
Now with hare plague that pops up every now and then, maybe interest in hares is a little less.

If she gets sick, I go straight to the vet, she is insured for treatment up to $5,000.

I looked into insurance for our new pup and I think it's a good idea but for some reason the boss is pulling back hard on getting it

I don't know about Norway but in Alaska vets are ridiculously expensive

Insurance is very expensive in Norway as well, with what I have in insurance, it might take up to 2 days for veterinary treatment, they’re pricey.

Raw salami in general is a terrible risk for a dog, so far she threw up everything and has been very thirsty afterwards.

Things like what happened today are a first for me, I have never experienced a dog finding food scraps & food in the forest before, and I have had dachshunds since 1998.

I will follow her thoroughly tonight, if there is anything that makes me nervous I will go to the vet tomorrow for a urine & blood test.
She has been very thirsty after she vomited.

I don’t disagree It is funny when people see me in their rear view and slow down.

Bone stock, haven’t done a thing to enhance the look, just all black, no chrome looks intimidating to some…
We have a white 2022 explorer timberline, black grill with black wheels lots of people slow down when they see it.

Morning Folks! Busy couple of weeks on the books for me. I got a call from the aircraft facility where I was stationed for a few years yesterday. I went and saw some trees a couple of months ago…long story short, they took the lowest bidder and he messed up the job. Plus they added a bunch of pruning of cottonwoods in the parking lot and near the exit road. More than 50 trees in total.

If / when I am ready for my next one that is what I was looking at. Really like the Timberline trim package. I might miss the get up of my Sport with the 3.5 twin turbo.

Not really, the new ones ether come with the 2.3 ecoboost that’s 300hp or the 3.0 which is based on the 2.7 in the f-150 that makes 400hp. Think the timberline only has the 2.3 but ours moves well and if you have the desire you can give ford 400$ to program in an extra 50hp and still have a warranty. The 300hp with the 10 speed like my f-150 has gos very well. Newer explorers 19 and up are back to rear wheel drive with auto 4x4 no power transfer unit to cook the oil in like the
18 and older.
