I’d leave it like that and put insurance money in my pocket.Morning all. Put new shocks on mom's Subaru yesterday, pushed that dent out a bit, and washed the hell out of the exterior. I can't remember the last time I hand washed it. It was filthy and had tar and bug guts and scuff marks all over it.

The first time an insurance company asked me if I wanted the check made out to the body shop or to me I thought “wait, what kind of scam is this?”I’d leave it like that and put insurance money in my pocket.
Good enough for who it’s for?Morning all. Put new shocks on mom's Subaru yesterday, pushed that dent out a bit, and washed the hell out of the exterior. I can't remember the last time I hand washed it. It was filthy and had tar and bug guts and scuff marks all over it.

Good enough for the girls we go with?Good enough for who it’s for?
If it was my car, I would do that. And if it was my fault, I'd definitely do that. But someone's else's car and someone else's insurance paying for it, so not my call to make. It has 130k miles on it and still owes her at least another 100k, so I don't blame her for wanting it fixed right. If the paint wasn't cracked so bad, I'd be more tempted to warm it up with a heat gun and work the creases out of it.I’d leave it like that and put insurance money in my pocket.
I say that to people all the time lol.Good enough for the girls we go with?
