Mornin’ suspects…70 to 90, same ol’ *s-wordt.
I work with one of your brothers
We have a 30 minute lunch
In that 30 minute's he ate 2 whole rotisserie chickens and 5-7lbs of homemade spaghetti
1lb of riesens candy and drank one of those 1.32qt bottles of Pepsi.
I myself had two chicken salad sandwiches about a pound of fresh strawberries and a 16oz bottle of water
He was still eating when I went back to work.

I really don't know what he See's in those Amish women 706t8f.jpg

You can't criticize anything if you aren't willing to help remedy the problem, I have a weird way of picking on the young guys but motivating them at the same time. We were fukking with him real bad last week and taking his picture saying we were gonna post it on gay singles, he actually laughs now and takes it in stride. That kid was broken before..really broken.

That kid works hard..really hard, he never stops. I get a sense of satisfaction out of that considering where he came from.

Lol.

That picture is Dope!
In all seriousness, good on you for taking him under your wing and guiding him to make better choices. Your perspective on todays youth is much more refreshing than most of what I hear from others. You’re setting this kid up for success. Most would have probably just told him to get lost.

He did sh!t at first that made me scratch my head..but I corrected myself in my own head and said this kid has absolutely no idea what's going on here so how can I possibly get mad..so instead of making him feel 6" tall I showed him...it pays in the end.

Everyone is a rookie at something at some point in their life, who am I to make someone feel like an idiot. I make fun of myself when I make mistakes and I should've known better..humility is a mfer.

Now dustin is at the point I let him buck all the logs for the trailer and do all kinds of sh!t...it's a good thing.

I get it not everyone is cut out for this..but he's got it, and I would've never known if I broke him down immediately.

The carpenters union has a mentor program for the new hires
Proud to help out the next generation. Some are go getters and some should be saying "fries with that?" Can't teach some of them how to be aggressive and attack the work

Those things are personality traits, we need people to serve fries as much as we need someone to build the place they serve them from, people need to just figure out who they are and what they want outta life.

Getting used to it? Just don’t rush the process. You take care of that machine and it’ll take care of you.
Yep picking it up pretty quick. Forget my dozer blade down a few times after choking logs and hoping on to skid them away. Use the blade as a parking brake. Learn the limits of how far you can turn without hitting the bump stops etc. it leaks engine oil so I need to fix that after I get my few acres cleaned up, for now been jamming rags in the oil pan cover and changing them out every couple hours as I don’t like dripping oil into my land lol

You can turn against the bump stops, just don’t keep holding the lever in that direction. Also, one thing that was passed on to me about skidders is: the “dozer” blade is made for pushing brush and limbs/tops around, not for cutting into the dirt. You can do some light dirt work with it, but especially on the Timberjacks, where the blade is mounted to the front axle, it’s not a heavy duty setup. So be aware and don’t get over confident with it.

There are definitely too many people that belittle others for failing at something they’ve never seen before. You are spot on about that!
