So it doesn't disable the car, just the infotainment center. Chit is too complex! Happens in our industry too. Manufacturer sends remote software delivery to site, then I get to go unfúk it.Yes.
So far GM is doing it for some of their infotainment systems. Other modules like the serial data gateway module and restraints system as well I believe.
Most of the drive train stuff, ecm, tcm, tccm, we still have to do in shop.
They are going to this to try to keep up with connectivity with all the various cell phones and the like.
