Yes.
So far GM is doing it for some of their infotainment systems. Other modules like the serial data gateway module and restraints system as well I believe.
Most of the drive train stuff, ecm, tcm, tccm, we still have to do in shop.
They are going to this to try to keep up with connectivity with all the various cell phones and the like.
So it doesn't disable the car, just the infotainment center. Chit is too complex! Happens in our industry too. Manufacturer sends remote software delivery to site, then I get to go unfúk it.

Yeah.
So in Tim's case he is forced to sing his own Abba tunes while on his way to work.

Unfortunately no.
The over the air updates are great and all.
Until they are not.
It might unfuck itself while your at work but I'd only give it a 5% chance of that.
Don't see that too often, but it does happen.
Wellfuck

The cell service at home is not great, I was thinking that may have been why it disconfuckulated. I'll have to see if the updates are something that I can choose to do manually.

A while back, we had the attempted info-center updates over almost a 2 month timespan. Initially they didn't take, didn't fugh up nav or the radio, and there was a message as well saying update failed. THE OTA finally did work, and what do we get, a set of shopping menus. WTF!!!

Agreed….apparently new tractors as well, based on what I hear from the neighbor.
Yep. Fugh them too. The powers that be have pretty much fughed up everything from tractors to toasters by overcomplicating the hell out of them.

Where'd ya get a coupin for Carquest?

I have a Rockauto coupin for July, they have a OEM mopar radiator after coupin it's $266 shipped.

The Carquest Premium radiator I actually bought at Advance Auto. When I was online looking at several places and looked at Advance, in the top right corner of their home page was a place you could click to activate the 20% off coupon. Right now on their site you can get 15% off by ordering online and enter code: 1JULY. This was the same when I ordered but a couple of minutes later the 20% off showed up so I used it. Order online and pick up at your nearest store if you have Advance Auto nearby. I screenshot the 20% off coupon and just found it in my phone…try code: 140Z1 for the 20% off.

I thought my 1980s model hay baler was ruined recently. The idea of having to buy a newer machine was scary. I just want to make a roll of hay, I don't need a super computer attached to the machine to fugh up the process.

Came out at break to make sure the battery wasn't being drained. It's unfucked. Like nothing happened.

My oldest tractor is a 69 MF175, the newest is a 76 JD2640. I do have a disc mower and a rake that is only a few years old though. We cut way too much hay for a sickle bar and a bar rake.

The poor reception at home is to blame then.
In your case it wouldn't hurt to check for system updates every other month or so when you get to work then.
