Funny how the most bland foods in the world taste like absolute Heaven when you haven't eaten anything for a while. I remember eating plain white toast after being sick for a couple weeks and thinking it was the most amazing thing I ever ate.

I said "plain" toast and I worded that very carefully dik 🤣
no where did i ask what you had to eat after lol

Good evening fellas. I hauled some saw logs down to the sawmill at my Mom& Dad’s place this morning. I used my Dad’s 94’ F800 dump truck which has a 5.9 Cummins/Allison combo. I could tell the pump was holding back fuel until ~2200rpm which is dumb because the engine makes peak power at 2300. Anyway, after 10 mins screwing with the aneroid on the pump, I got it to pull hard all the way down to 1500rpm….didn’t even make the truck smoke.

whats the monument
Thats a sign on the corner for the granite quarry down the road. Boyd granite co/Robin blue quarry. They have a complete operation, out of the ground to finished product in the cemetery.
They used to be able to lift staight out of the hole and onto a transfer cart that took saw blocks to the saws. Now they truck blocks around to the plant.

Gluten harvest is in full swing around here. Have to really watch the cross roads. With all the activity, semis, pickups, cornbines, tractors hauling grain carts, flying around everywhere, not everyone watches where they are going.

Two semis collided about 10 miles south of my house today, making a big mess, no one was hurt, so that's good. These boys usually run until about 1 am, then get back after it around 8-9 am.

Got a Carquest Premium 2-row radiator p/n 812813 for just over $200 after a 20% off coupon code...Dodge stealership right up the road wanted $350 for the same. This Carquest is exact to the original 17-yr old, plastic tank radiator that came out. I was looking at a couple of solid, all aluminum tig welded, 3-row cross-flow radiators on Amazon for around $190-$230 or so, that they claim are absolute drop in replacement but when you read the reviews they all share a couple of problems…no place to mount the power steering fluid cooler to the bottom. The PS cooler has two brackets welded to the bottom that mount to the bottom channel of an original or aftermarket radiator. And some tig welded nuts on these all aluminum ones are not the same thread nor diameter as the bracket hardware you removed, so a trip to da hardware store is gonna hafta happen if you ain’t got it on hand in the shop. Some reviews even said the tig welded nuts were off a little bit as well. I remember some reviews saying they just let the PS cooler hang and do it’s’ thing, some zip-tied the cooler on somehow…I ain’t into none of that shade-tree option bullshitt. Would like to have opted for an all-aluminum but the factory plastic tank radiator lasted 17 yrs…if I can get 10 or so yrs outta this Carquest replacement, I got my money’s worth with a couple of hours of labor involved.

Another thing…I couldn’t find a black finned radiator no matter who aftermarket made it...raw aluminum is all I could find. And I damn sure ain’t paying $20 plus a can for no Eastwood satin radiator paint. Nor would I opt for a couple of light coats of high temp satin or flat engine paint. You ain’t doing nothing but f’ng with the heat dissipation anyhow. With the trans cooler and power steering cooler mounted in the front, you hardly see any raw aluminum with the hood down anyways.

@redline4 I cleaned the a/c condenser cooler, trans fluid cooler, and power steering fluid cooler with a non-acidic condenser/evaporator coil cleaner concentrate I’ve got several gallons of, mixed some with water in a sprayer, and got em lookin’ spiffy. No doubt they breathing better now.

Where'd ya get a coupin for Carquest?

I have a Rockauto coupin for July, they have a OEM mopar radiator after coupin it's $266 shipped.

Great looking grittle there Ed
What in the name of Brokeback Mtn is goin’ on in here? We got mf’ng decomposed bodies in a forest just stankin’ like hell, leaking radiators, pelts stuck in a/c condensers, tractors galore, and fajitas. I can’t leave you peeps alone for half a day of radiatoring and cuttin’ da yard and look what’s happened. I want answers now Private Dally!
I know, after the fajitas, we was missing desert. We couldn't decide what flavor so has to do it proper with the 2 pack. Look familiar anyone?

Good morning, slept lousy cause my shoulder wanted to stay awake. Might cut hay today after the dew dries off. One more check of the weather too. Supposed to be in the 90's until it rains Thursday. If good. Will do the back fields.

Have a good Sunday all.

Good morning masters of fap. I'm just now getting to work, thanks to this BS.20230716_065824.jpg
The general can GF himself. The thing tried to "update", failed, and then drained the battery. Hey @redline4 , is there a way to "restore the system" without visiting a dealer? Because it's Sunday...

Disco-ing the battery did not do it.

Unfortunately no.
The over the air updates are great and all.
Until they are not.
It might unfuck itself while your at work but I'd only give it a 5% chance of that.
Don't see that too often, but it does happen.

Wait, so the car updates itself over the cellular network while you're sleeping? What does it update, engine management, or just the media center? Wtf?

Also, hay cutting will be postponed as Wednesday is now up to 60% chance of rain. Something is heading our way. Will wait for the appropriate sized weather window.

Yes.
So far GM is doing it for some of their infotainment systems. Other modules like the serial data gateway module and restraints system as well I believe.
Most of the drive train stuff, ecm, tcm, tccm, we still have to do in shop.
They are going to this to try to keep up with connectivity with all the various cell phones and the like.
