The long and drawn out are the worst. I am sorry for your loss, 5 years ago last week was when my mom finally gave up and found her peace. Hopefully you can find some solace in knowing your mom is comfortable now.

Sorry Steve, my condolences.

I completely understand this Steve.
Mom wasnt there for the last 6 months that she lived.
I felt sadness that she was gone when I realised she didnt know me or my dad anymore.
Relief that what was left wasnt suffering anymore, or causing my dad to suffer when she passed away.
My mom always had a smile that you couldnt mistake for anything else. It was just her thing.
I knew she was gone when that smile went away.
Memory-related illnesses are the worst IMO.
May she rest in peace, and you know that she had no choice in what happened.

I haven't been to the psysio this year, plan to go back after he comes back from vacation, and start training again.
The flesh on the ham might do better as muscles lol.
I have been underweight since the heart attack, and am now at my heaviest in my life by a good margin.
I'm not a fitness junkie, a little more muscle around the hip bones and I'll be happy.

I eat good food in terms of health, it's just that I easily get high cholesterol.

If I ain't mistaken, the USS Clamagore was towed to Norfolk to be scrapped back in Oct/Nov of last year.

I was so dirty when I got home I almost didn't recognize myself in the bathroom...the dirt line from where my helmet sits on my head was laughable.

I just threw my shirt in the garbage, I usually do after we cut them.

I have cotton workshirts that can nearly sit up by themselves as you can’t get the sap out and it hardens lol
