Street machine that I want to actually drive.

I'm gonna try the dual plane and Q-jet. I'm not a fan of the Torker II intake. And a Holley ain't gonna get the sort of mileage that I'm hoping for.
I think you’re on the right track. The Torker being a single plane intake, won’t be as efficient for street driving.

Good morning doods. Pork chop dinner was the slowest I’ve ever seen it, and the weather was beautiful. We ended up finding out that 2 other local business’ held events at the same time.. kinda of a bummer but that’s how it goes, life goes on.. My youngest is sick so I’m at home this morning while momma took the oldest to church with her.

Happy Saturday (Sunday Adam).

Been a busy week with travel and then family when I got home. Took me awhile to read through and get caught up.

Condolences @JoeDirt , Gramps sounded like an awesome guy, in charge of his life until the end. We can only wish for the same for ourselves.

My MIL is still in hospital but Tuesday is moving to a nursing home. Not our first choice but second and will have a private room so things are looking up for a change.

Need to finish mowing the yard today and plant some garden. Did manage to get out on the creek for a paddle with the boy last night. Also experiencing the smoke that has been mentioned, was really bad the last two days I was in BC from the Prince George fires. The Aurora was glad to see me home on Friday.

I guess it is actually Sunday for most of us and @Kiwioilboiler is likely back to work for the week already. Easy to get confused on the day of the week during a long weekend. The one time a year I am happy that we are still tied to the English monarchy as Monday we celebrate Queen Victoria’s birthday with a national stat holiday.

As with most auctions, there are bargains to be had if no one is bidding against you. 😉

There was quite a few hives going for what I call a reasonable price and the condition of the hives was pretty good. But they wasn’t really what I was looking for.

I brought 6 hive roofs as my homemade ones are showing there age after making them about 15yrs ago

I got a honey mixer/creamer for a 1/4 of the new price. Now I will be able to mix batches of honey better & easier.

I also got a Brunel microscope eye cam for a 10th of the new price, not that I make slides up much 🤔 it just seemed a bargain 😂

Also there was a talk on bees which lasted just over 1hr with some interesting bits about how bees were kept in trees many yrs ago, this was when honey and wax were valued more than timber was.

I got a recording from my phone which I will upload small bits to YouTube, it maybe interesting for some guys.
I found the second video interesting. I can't imagine having to pay for "tree rights" just to have a bee colony so I was capable of paying taxes. Now I'm mildly concerned about not catching a swarm and losing half my colony to the hole on my big Willow tree haha. Be a great reason to get a second hive "Ready" and justify the cost to my better half, though

Your first msg was 0330 here, the second 0422 Monday so I wasn't doing anything more than deep sleeping under the duvet with my arm round the Mrs Gaz.

My 06 Silverado, replaced both hub front wheel bearings and driver side outer tie rod yesterday. Grandson had use of the city parks shop was a blessing. Hubs frozen and needed a torch to heat, sledge hammer to beat and plenty of joint breaker spray.

Just acquired a 650cfm spread bore Holley. That's the carb I'm gonna run.

Now to figure out what headers will fit.
I would not run that setup on anything less than an 044 Mag.
