You got something good going on with your grandson. Living on the same property creates strong family. It’s common around here, 2-3 generations on the same property. When the time comes for me to be grandpap, it would be my pleasure to have my grandson start out his adult life out on my farm so I could coach him and teach him everything I know.

I'm a little miffed at him today. He begged out of doing anything much the last few days because he felt crummy. Well, I feel crummy right now, and likely got it from him. So I know he wasn't full of crap. BUT.....he began feeling better yesterday. So what did the little fugher do? He drank too much with a couple of his buddies last night.....now I bet he will feel crummy again today.

But......he will be 19 next month. I did some of the same stuff......and much worse when I was that age. You better believe I'll be crawling on his ass when he gets home though.

Years ago multiple generations lived under a single roof, and that was normal. That sort of thing is making a comeback, at least from where I'm sitting. A single income family is having a hell of a time staying afloat these days, and a lot of people are unable to afford to work. I know, that sounds crazy. But if you don't have a dependable car, and live out in the sticks, imagine trying to acquire a good car, buy fuel, pay insurance, pay rent, get groceries, etc. I see a bunch of younger people who fit into this category. Can they do better? Well yeah. Will they? I doubt it.
Wifey and i went through a stretch a few years ago when our kids were 2-4 years old, at the peak we paid about 14k for childcare for the year. It was still worth goin out to work...but just barely.

Is this the new 10 speed they are using behind the Duramax Ed? Is it replacing the Allison 1500??

Thats the 10 speed in a half ton.
The one behind the Duramax is very similar, just quite a bit larger.
Yes, it replaced the Allison, but seeing that GM owns Allison, the new trans is built by Hydramatic but it's marketed as "Allison branded"...they want that name associated with it. Marketing B.S.

Started filling the freezer in August! How you doing for rain Mark? Any better? We are in a little mini drought, rains all around us, just not on us. We are still ok, but rain is going to be needed here soon.

Little bit now and then but not near enough [emoji2959]
