The ribeye up north always comes plated with ramps sauteed with whatever mushrooms I find. In the spring there are tons of tasty greens too.

I wish I liked mushrooms. I eat them once every few years when I crave them, for whatever reason. Then I hate them again. Weird, right?

Ladies and Dall-mations, this is a pork T bone steak.
I know, its a center cut chop, but dang it looks nice!
Bosslady found 2 of the 2 packs of these at a local grocer in the reduced section. Less than 10 bucks for 4 of these monsters.
Gonna be a fat kid fo sho here shortly.
She also made me some of her pasta salad to go with it before she left.
That stuff is AMAZING.

Nailed these two large Godfather’s thin-crust pies a little while ago, and eyeballing a few Klondike’s or a fat bowl of ice cream to push me into the twilight zone here shortly. All good Mark, I like pork too. Just not as much as beef, close second ahead of lamb and chicken. Wild game has its own category, and seasons. Dove, squirrel, venison, rabbit....

Definitely fresh when I eat them. We have a mushroom farm 10 minutes from here. Only every three years though. Not knowledgeable enough to pick wild ones without dying!

I like to use pickle juice as a tenderizer/brine.
Works for Chic fill a.
Now if I want a steak, it just gets HEAVY salt and pepper, sits in the fridge for a few hours, then brought up to room temp before going on a HOT grill.

Just about any meat you can grill is good to me.
Only thing I dont care for is tube steak.
