Don't mess with gauges or sensors. Call Dakota Digital Dashboards. Aka Dakota Digital and be done with it. Guys use that for an easy-out on street rods. They figured it out before you considered it.

The whole gauge cluster would have to be replaced with something else. I did this sort of stuff on older vehicles, but these newer ones are a nightmare of electrical stuff.
Yeah the wiring nightmare would be no fun. I wonder what the computer will run/ can run with just power to it?

Sorry to hear about the fires and such out west. The one summer I spent way up North was bad. Town put on evac notice, we were told we were staying put no matter what. We were the only source of fuel and supplies for the heli crews.

We are the other end of the spectrum tonight. Frost warning and covering tomatoes.

Heres my granddads ole Chebby. Still runs ok. 350 wit a 3 on the tree. No power anything. Some fairly significant "weight reduction" helps with fuel mileage.View attachment 257847
Put a 7.3 Godzilla in it just to fug with people

Evening guys.
This was at the Goodyear store next door.
I told my wife we needed one for family road trips.
She wasn't in agreement.

Fuggin women..
*B-S....!!!

And I wouldn't trust the time of day from the GY shop across the street from me work.

All the chevy’s that vintage have experienced quite a bit more weight reduction than that one up her, like most have been recycled right back into the ground.
Hell Ive seen more rust on 10 year old chevys around here.

I showed it to Bubba. He got a chubby.

Seriously? Well. I've thought a lot about this today. If I swap the engine and transmission, can I get the speedometer, tach, and gauges working?

Can't like that.

Or that.

Fughin fires.

I remember reading how it was popular in the older 4.0 Ranges with the TTB running wide open in the desert. Kits looks to run $950.

It'd be cooler if they would just spend another $150-200 at the factory so it wouldn't suck from the get go.
