Morning/ Evening All.
59f headed to 84f on a bright sunny Sunday. Going to force myself to enjoy while knowing in the back of my mind how badly we need rain.
One cousin still farms in the area and says his beans are doing okay and is hopeful for a reasonable return on those. Wheat is almost ready a month early and doesn’t look good.
Sometimes the beans do ok here without any rain. Sorta blows my mind.
I’ve heard similar before as well. I think it was something to do with the leaf structure. Collects the morning dew on the large surface and if then able to channel it to the root system down the stems.
I was a little surprised that he hadn’t switched to yellow peas. Roquette is nearing completion / opening the worlds largest Pea Protein processing plant less than an hour from the farm.
