$hit suddenly the new guy thinks he can hand out advice! Lol just poking ya buddy its good to have ya back.

I need to roll one small colder fire through there to cure the moisture out of the bricks and then that damper is indeed gone. Franks for confirming my suspicions about the stack height though.

Morning feelers don't blow your load yet Friday is just around the corner.
Them holey bricks prolly won't take the heat very well (they will crack) but they'll work for now as long as you don't disturb them much. If you can get some old antique solid bricks they'll work as well as any firebrick. +GFY

Oh they will most definitely crack. I just don't want any freak explosions. They've been sitting wet under melting snow and rain water for years. If it works out alright I'll replace them with fire brick next year.

Me home stove has eleven feet of straight stack off the one elbow ttt hat. Any less will suck and not in a good way.

Got my syrups ready yet?
