Do you have to stack that and let it dry out before building anything with it? Forgive my ignorance, I know nothing about milling.
Yeah I sticker them and let them dry. Got people wanting to buy it right now. Wasn't planning on that, but we'll see where it goes.

How big? What's a decent "cheap" mill? Cheap because it would be a hobby more than anything.
I think HL supply has a good priced 36 inch mill. For a saw 94cc and up if you want it to last. If the wood in your area isn't very big you could get away with a smaller mill, but I would still run a big saw. Once in awhile I will use my 371 ported by Steve, but I really don't like doing that.

Im still kicking myself for buckin a straight 18" x 20' cherry log with zero branches. Maybe I DO have an excuse for a big saw. No holding it up when milling I'm guessing.

Get a big saw and a mill. I guarantee you won't regret it.
Or this

Last shot of what’s standing with the flanken-style beef short ribs...and my niece and her boyfriend is headed this way. I need to stash some *s-wordt real quick...
