exactly i work on more newer junk of others than i do of my own stuff
the hydrostatic reareends are alot of the problems as well they are weak and expensive to replace

the old cubs have cast iron gears and rearends i think the 122 weighs about 800 pounds
same transmission as my cub lo boy 154
I kinda want an International 184 lowboy.

Any pics of the wet noodle trick?

P.S. Same can be said for the motors in my opinion. Rather revive an oldie if possible. But that's just me, I like listening to the old ones run.
I especially dig the sound of an old opposed Twin Onan like my Case 446 had and the Ingersoll 3016.

they are pretty much the same other than probably a different carb or governor system
the 154 is the older model and the 185 was next in the series along with different color paint
the 184 had a electric pto instead of a manual lever you pull up
the one i have has filled tires all around and rear wheel spacers that add about a inch and a half to each side
mine also has the creeper gears so you go slower and independent brake pedals

My dad had a cub. First year made with all the implements and speed hitch. That got me interested in those small tractors. I really dig the 184 because it looks like 1066 ect but small
