Morning boys. Just got my first coat of conversion varnish on this table for my neighbor. This is not water based. Killed a few brain cells on that coat. Forgot how bad dis chit is

I do understand. Actually bought a 1 man auger for the last privacy fence we did. Helps, but still have to work the slap sticks if the auger hits a rock.
Just get er done before the soreness really sets in, and ice it down later.

Depends on the weather.
Yesterday was a high of 32, it was 13 this morning. We skin them asap because its easier.
In weather like this, yeah, we will let them hang a bit. Im guessing my Dad will start on butchering this afternoon though.
He's meticulous but still can do one rather quickly.

They all get hung in a shed at my parents. Under cover, out of sun, stays cool in there.

I think the oldest one ive worked on was a 1912 Shaw.
Shaw and Box merged in the early 20s.
Ive also worked on a 3 digit serial # P&H. It May still be in use down in Savannah.

No, still out here..just not much happening.
I'll sit all day. Have to work Monday and Tuesday. Daughter says she wants to go Wednesday through Friday.
Still undecided if ill break the bow back out after or just say screw it and be done for the year.
