We did that when the pandemic first started. Wife insisted we get another freezer and stock up for armageddon. Sure was a pain finding one back in March.

...and everyone else. Then bought every frozen pizza in existence and filled them up.

Anyone have an idea of who made the Cabelas Alaskan Guide series optics?
My understanding...Light Optical Works and Hakko, both Japanese based companies, made most of that series of scopes. Depending on what model scope, other folks joined the manufacturing club of the Alaskan Series as well later on. But most were made by the two aforementioned. Damn good, solid scopes back in their day and well worth the money.

Man Tim, ever since you mentioned the magnesium in the camp fire ive been kicking myself for throwing out two mag case saws after stripping them. Homelite xl and 150. I did find the pull start housing off the xl. Next fire....

I drew a Michigan elk tag in 1990. My deer rifle back then was a Remington 760 in 30-06. Dad insisted that I take his 7MM mag and that it would be better for elk. I ended up wounding a possible state record 8X8 with that gun. It wasn’t the guns fault but within a month after that I bought this gun. Probably has about 200 rounds through it and has killed 50 deer
I really like my 760 30-06. My dad gave it to back in when I started high school in 1990.

So I stopped at the store today to get a few things and the place was pretty well picked over. Is it like that by anyone else? Must be people are stocking up again and/ or supply chains are still shot

Yep same here. They can keep the toilet paper im buying stock in ketchup. The mfers around here had all the ketchup bought up last time.
