An old dealer has one. He’s kinda proud of it though. He wants $1230 for it. Maybe I’m just a tight wad. Anybody else have any thoughts on it

That’s about double what he paid for it. 5 years ago I could get a new 390 for $800.
Yup, probably why it’s still on his shelf. More than I paid for my 592xpg too. I just threw it out there, a lot of people liked them just wasn’t sure how much

I have this chainsaw in my wish list

Husqvarna 390XP (32") 88cc Professional Chain Saw, 3/8" .063"

for $1,369.99 with free S&H and no tax. So, I think that 385 is a tad high, especially if it is not coming with a 32" Husky bar and chain.

Still trying to decide if I am going with the Husky 390 or MS-660 for $1500. If I get the MS-660 I will have to have someone take a newer picture of me.

too much unfortunately imho. For same, similar, or slightly more money there are better saws available, some of which would be new as well.

I never knew they sold complete saws, as I do not remembering see one when ordering parts. It is the last item on 8 pages of parts.

Thank you for the heads up. :-)

Now to check out Echo and Makita ...

I was seriously thinking about a Makita 7900 too, but, I did not want to buy it from HD in case it needed warranty repairs. I would have bought a MS-180 CBE again, but, the reviews have been horrible. I do not know if the reviews are from NT customers or real Stihl dealers, but, it has put me off on the saws I use to buy without thought.

If you were into older saws… I would be comparing costs to that nighthunters costs, he’s that guy that gets saws from Asia and ships them 😉

It would be a good saw as long as it's not a 2004 model with crank bearing issues out of the box. I would probably just spend that kind of money on a 585 professional
