I'm going to see what I can find for Max. I can probably get you a set.A fella here sent me an NOS cap but it is more gray than the black used ones I have. Im looking for another gray or two black caps with the metal chains and restraint tang.View attachment 53348
I found a nice black gas cap. No oil caps.A fella here sent me an NOS cap but it is more gray than the black used ones I have. Im looking for another gray or two black caps with the metal chains and restraint tang.View attachment 53348
Woot, you are the second person to say the gas and oil caps are different? The caps that I have fit both holes? What am I missing?
I would think so. I talked to my Husky guy and he said you can still get new 2100 gas caps. He has one in stock and it's grey.Welp, now Im not sure Howard. Are these holes the vents? View attachment 53977
I remember what the diffence is. Do you want to know how to tell? Here's a gas cap I found.Welp, now Im not sure Howard. Are these holes the vents? View attachment 53977
Ok here it is. The way you tell the difference on the old caps is the gas caps have a flat gasket and the oil cap has an o-ring.All the replacement caps I have found have the plastic retainers. I would like to know the differnce Howard.
So the one I have is a gas cap. Do you need it?I remember what the diffence is. Do you want to know how to tell? Here's a gas cap I found.View attachment 53988
