I have been buying them for 4 years and only get 2 years of use out of them before they split open and leak gas, I had to resort to using my Blitz and Rubbermaid Gott cans i have not used in years.
They are both close to 20 years old and they don't crack or split open only had to buy two ez pour kits to get them usable,,,, They pour faster and you don't have to man handle them like the 1-2.5 gallon no spills.

I got aggravated two years ago and started drilling half inch holes on the bottom of the spout on the blitz cans the damn twist and pour piece broke on several of them after a couple of uses. and I just put a empty mix bottle on the end works good now .

I've gave up on cans... I use gallon oil jugs... Obviously not real gas cans but they work for me and don't leak after the first pour you can do well without spillingspilling

I have (3) 2 gallon cans that have sat in the back of my truck for the past 4 years without issue yet. I think they're pretty tough and work well.

I think you all need to clarify what can's you are actually using. 100% of my can's have come cheap from auctions and freebies.

These are junk no-spill cans. Won't ever buy another one. They take way to long to empty into a 5gal mower or tractor tank.

The best solution for these cans is to get the EZ Pour kits on Ebay for $6 and convert them over to a non-safety nozzle with an air lock in the back. The kits can be found in high and low flow tubes so you can fill your bigger tanks faster with a bigger nozzle.

The actual "No-Spill" branded cans are much better and pour faster. I haven't had a problem with these can's at all. I also like the exact pour I can get in a small tank like a saw or push mower.

Not a big fan of the Eagle or Just-Rite cans. The metal allows water condensation on the inside of the can leaving more water in the gas. They are also metal which can rust, and they are a bigger pain to fill at the gas station. I know my dad love's his can that looks like this but every time I use it you spill all over due to no air release and the can chugs the fuel out at an uneven rate. No thanks...

What are you doing to make them split? Are you leaving them in the sun/heat to balloon up and split?

I bought 6 Blitz in 1's and 5 gal. size. My supply of the little yellow caps is getting low though. I'll replace them with No-Spills as I'm really happy with the one I use for saws and trimmers.
