That cylinder design does look like a 346xp
Can you explain this? What is compression release?
The divot simulates having a higher exhaust which serves to lower the static compression. Broken in this unit blows between 150 and 170 psi.
You said “new toy” but it looks like more than a toy - a serious tool. It is, just trying to get everyones attention. Quad port design looks good. Casting flash on the piston not so much.

Would have saved me a lot of work...I have to admit echo makes a durable saw. It's good to see the power coming up and the weight going down. The cs501p had my interest but wish it had .5 more hp in stock form. If they could find a way to make the 600p into a 70cc without gaining weight they would have something. But I would definitely recommend echo over someone buying the homeowner line of stihl/husky
Could be fun. That has to be a tiny bore.I’d like to see what @Red97 could do to it. Not that it really needs it, but why not ?

One side of the transfer tunnels smaller as they appear in the pic?It is tiny, the entire short block literally fits in the palm of your hand.

It looks tiny. What does it weigh?
I will have to look at the specs tomorrow at work Mark, but suffice it to say that it does not weigh much at all.
LOL, not the first time I have been mistaken for Mark.
