My 2cents are that this new 90cc saw should balance and run a 36” .404 bar like a 395 does or its not a real 90cc class saw. The 572 chassis really only can handle up to a 32” 3/8 reduced weight bar before it starts to get floppy and unbalanced. I know, because I’ve ran one on a 572. Plopping a big bore topend on that chassis isn’t a direct replacement for a 395. However it would be a good competitor for the 500i though. I hope that they come out with both a big bore 572 and a 595. There will certainly be holes to be filled in there lineup after the 390, 395 and 3120 are gone.

If the 590 is a bigger bore version of the 572, I think husky will have a winner!
The bottom end construction of a 572 is...sturdy to say the least. Bet they use the same bearings and rotating assembly in a slightly scaled up version of the 572.

I could definitely see some stiffer AV setup on this chasis if they are able to use it, I don't see Husqvarna entering the 80cc class range, no need to really, the 572 already takes care of that IMO, the 572 compares very well to the 500i especially when cost is taken in to consideration. A beefed up 572 to 590 makes sense to me. The 120cc class doesn't sell enough saws to make it profitable for a company to do all the R&D and still comply with EPA standards.

The largest saws to me really seem to be a niche item, guys who mill, guys who race, and guys who measure dongs. There are always exceptions though...

I'd like to see Husky use the 572 chassis to introduce an 80cc saw...582xp. Then create a whole new chassis for a 100-110cc big boy saw. But I've been impressed with Husky the last few years so I think their new saw will be good whatever it is.

585xp/582xp would be sweet.
I'm no expert but adding a bigger jug to the 572xp would make it a higher rpm saw right? If longer stroke adds torque wouldn't a bigger jug/slug make it a peekier higher rpm saw?
Regardless I'd like to see a bigger cc saw from husky to compete w/ the 500i

The 572xp has the same weight and a tad less power then the old 7900 Dolkita. I would say there is room for improvement.
90 cc is better than 80 imho.

Depends on whose numbers you look at for specs, on the Dyno the stock 572 made 7.2 hp, that's more then the specs of a 7900,390 and 395.

Playing devil's advocate here, but why do they need a 80cc saw when the 71cc saw they have now makes more power then the 500i already at $500 less? Honestly to me drop the 545/565 and do a 50/6070/80/90 cc version of each. But if you are going to build a 80cc saw it better make close to the 8hp mark and be priced just slightly more then the 572 or it will get little attention and sales.

Yeah they just need a true 90cc class machine for the guys running long bars or using the saw on an Alaskan mill. The 572 is fast... but it doesn’t have the low rpm torque or oiler of a 395. It doesn’t do as well with a 36” bar in hardwood.

I didn't know that. Interesting that they don't shout that from their castle wall.

Around here they are only $250 difference in price(and that's Canadian).
