Ok so I’m new here and this is my first question. I bought a 2152 this week and I can’t for the life of me figure out what the numbers on the clutch cover are for. I’m sure I will feel completely ignorant once someone enlightens me. Thanks in advance.
I just went out and puzzled over mine. I only use it occasionally but never put a tape on it to understand what it was.
Here is a picture that I just took. It appears to be a measurement in centimeters from the back of the clutch cover.
I don't have any educated guesses about what those numbers would be used for.
Are those common thicknesses of wood in Northern Europe? It seems that it's an easy practice to set the saw on a board with the handle ("0" on the scale below) at the edge, but I don't know what use the measurement would be.
I agree that it’s probably for measuring cut length and I appreciate you confirming that it’s metric. I figured it was since I found out pretty quick that it was not in inches. Maybe someone out there has the answer. At this point I think I can confidently say it’s of no use to me but would still like to know.
