Hi everyone, I’m trying to identify the exact model of my trimmer.

I’m not sure what the actual machine model is (I’ve seen names like BK27E online, but I can’t confirm).
Does anyone recognize this unit or know where the model/serial tag is usually located on these?

I attached several photos from different angles—any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Welcome!
Kawasaki puts their unit model numbers on a sticker on the shaft below the loop handle. The model number of the engine should be in a sticker on the crankcase to the left of the primer bulb when facing the air filter.

However, this may not be a Kawasaki unit. Several companies bought Kawasaki engines and installed them on shafts of their own long after Kawasaki had discontinued the trimmers. One of the companies was from California, but for the life of me I can’t remember the name.

I found these labels on my trimmer:

Engine: TJ027E-MF70
Shaft/unit: TMC Power Equipment – KPM-2750
Can you confirm TJ027E-MF70 is the right engine ID (same as the TJ27E family)? Also, what’s the correct OEM carb part number and the best place to buy it?

If I go aftermarket, should I search TJ027E specifically, or is TJ27E/TJ027E usually fine? Anything else I should match (like the number stamped on the old carb)?
