I just got this togather after my buddy totaled me Cheby. Nobody would pull the frame on a 1 ton around here. I miss my diesel.

Nice truck. What year is the Ford . Ive finally decided I'm not buying another pickup. I don't need on for work and every time I need to haul something I borrow my dad's dump trailer for stone or topsoil and firewood. A 1 ton dump would be the cats a$$. Maybe next year I can start looking.

There are some decent looking trucks on GovDeals. I'm not sure exactly what you are looking for, but the Chevy trucks with 6.0 gassers are decent buys. A little under powered, but they are usually geared low enough they do okay.

Those 6.0 Chevy gassers can be turned into a monster pretty easily. Who needs a 500 hp woodhauler anyway????

I've been looking at a lot of trucks lately. I would be happy with a 1 ton dump even if it was a faster. Unfortunately for what I want to spend they are all POS. For my price range in would be farther ahead getting a C60. I'm not looking to spend over $3k so its slim pickings but there are more C60's out there for that price than there are 1 tons. Drawback might be fuel consumption.

We have a C70 flatbed at work. Great truck. 366 big block with a 2 speed rear. The only issue with those older trucks is the steering and seat. They both suck unless you spend some money on that part.
