Wifey figured out what she wanted for her studio top. Picked sycamore slab from kiln last week and had it planed and drum sanded.

Still need to fit to scribe line on back edge. She is still deciding on stain and finish coat.

I knew it was just a matter of time but didnt realize it would be less than a week. I was standing in the kitchen last evening and my daughter decided instead of making two trips to carry her junk down the stairs she tried to make one.

Dropped her freaking music stand at the top and dinged/scratched/gouged/chipped every single step.

I handled it way better than Wifey.

and thats why we cant have anything nice.

Wifey did some color of stain only to find out epoxy is no bueno over an oil based stain.

Called tech support for product and they recommended a water based sealer before epoxy.
