Just posted this about a 394....those tips swell...and stick
Cool. Good thought. I just put it back together and it is all moving freely. I'll put it back together and see how it goes. I have a feeling the other diaphragm on the one way valve was gasket first onto the carb body.. I am not sure. Anyhows it's all back together as one should be.Just posted this about a 394....those tips swell...and stick

Cheers dude, just waiting on my 181se to sell and then I will be buying a new magnesium OEM clutch cover. Just waiting for my new OEM 20" bar and chain to arrive too. I like these Husky's to look factory spec and allLookin' good! I'm liking the jungle muffler - you don't see them over here on this side of the pond.
Not yet. I haven't had chance. Can't find any solder. It will be checked before running. I am hoping it will be over .20, if it is I will leave it at that. Been reading through 40 odd pages on AS of Randy's thread on 262xp's and getting some ideas of where to go next with this saw.Did you measure the squish to see where it was after the coke can gasket installed?

It's as close the the edge of the bore before its in the bore. Coke Can was fresh. And a small bit of p320 wet and dry to soften the edges after the scalpeling. Feels similar in compression to the 254 I did. Gut feeling says it feels like it will be OK.As long as you are at a true .017 all the way to the edge of bore I'd say you are good.

Yes. There is already a tapped hole where the heated handle switch would screw down into. I am going to open that out and put a grommet in there for the hose to go through. My pet hate with husks is there useless ability to get a non leaking vent design... I will though!!Looking forward to seeing that vent installed. Will you drill a hole through the crankcase in the carb mount area and install the vent beside the carb somewhere?
Yep, this one leaves a puddle everywhere it goes...Well once you have re-engineered the fuel tank vent successfully, maybe you can get to work on a proper oil tank vent for the husky as well.
