What did you leave in it? Acid?

Nah, I'd just wet sanded it, all though I did use some brake cleaner in it. May have been that the plating was a bit too thin where I'd removed transfer from

Bummer. I just use WD40 on my finger rubbed emery paper.

I have a cylinder if you'd like. It's missing some fins but has done several hours with no drama since I rescued it.
