Lol.. That stinks, but I feel your pain. I just finished a 357 a few months ago and the first tree I cut down was about a 24 inch black oak and it turned out to be hollow and the same thing happened. The tree spun a little and...... Whoops!. Mine actually had a little less damage but I was amazed. Glad you didn't get hurt.

I only use chisel , no matter how dirty the wood is. I don't like how semi cuts at all.

I agree, but I had a .325 semi that was about worn out that flat out cut. The rakes were set with a filoplate. Don't know how it cut new, I got it with a 246 husky.
