MS880 flywheel key

I need a flywheel key for an MS880 and local dealer is telling me I need a new flywheel. No further explanation or reasoning and won't look on his computer to order just a flywheel key for me. Did some of the 880's have the key cast into the fly wheel?

Anyhow, is anyone a Stihl dealer here that I can order a couple keys from? I did see farmertec has them. I would prefer OEM in this case. Thanks

If you get to know the flywheel's key OEM part number
( from an IPL ) ,then you can
order this part from the web .

For example :
At the first page of this MS880 IPL -

- the part #24 is the flywheel key
or "Woodruff key 2x37 " ( page 2 of the IPL ) and has the OEM serial number 1120 036 8500 .

Proceed by googling the term " Stihl 1120 036 8500 "

Using the same procedure you can order on-line almost any -if not every- part for your MS880.
OEM or AM .

Tip: Download and save for future reference the MS880 IPL .
Always search for a part by it's
OEM serial number .
