Very well could have been. Most of the saws he does seem a little high strung. Ain't laid hands on a saw he's done though, can't truly speak to it.

I have.

His saws are impressive.

I’m not going to say I would ever spend that much for a Port job, but I was impressed with the 372 That was at the Upstate gtg he did.

Thanks for weighing in on his work, Heath. Lots of folk that have his saws say they are strong, I too however find the pricing a little more than excessive

Yeah that pricing is a deal breaker for me.

I believe the builders we are associated with give us the most gains per $ spent.

Hi there

Which town are you located and there’s a 462 carbed as i m interested to visit and if liked i ll get it.

I m in Greece also

Is it possible to send me your local dealer phone so i can ring him by tomorrow morning?

Thanks

I've been calling various dealers that have them. There are some at the main distributor in Athens, but you have to order them to your dealer...they don't give the saws direct. Also, the local dealers don't want to ship, they require you to go directly to the dealer and buy them. The price will be whatever you can argue with your dealer. I've had guys quote me prices that vary as much as 100 Euros for the same saw. Some guys say they can't get the CM in Greece and others already have it in their shop.

Send me a PM and I'll give you some guys that I've talked to and their phone numbers.

Wait
In the previous post you said your dealer has the adj. carb version which you already tried DRY and that’s why you reviewed.

So there’s a ready to go saw, just need the town and dealer phone. I didn’t asked shipping

You got that right. I got a MOFO 026 from the doc that he rebuilt him self from the ground up at a price that was too good to be true. Things like that will get you spoiled and stuff.

The thing that really stands out to me is the idea of using a 70cc saw with a 32 or 33" bar.

If I was cutting wood that size I would want a 90cc bar, but them I am not humping it around terrain like the west coast. Really an example of what work for one might not be for another.

I want one to run a 24" bar and occassionally maybe a 28" and nothing he says dissuades me from wanting this saw for that purpose.

I ve seen it

However i m well connected with salesmen and dealers of main Distributor “ STIHL GREECE “.

So i m aware of the exact imports schedule and availabilities.

@Mastermind I also sent almost 10 days ago the complete import schedule, arrival timetable, pieces availability to Randy with missile launch precision. Same for shipping cost. He is aware of arrival date and pieces.

I was curious and still am how a local dealer has an adj. carb 462 since it’s off catalogue and it’s not officially available in Greece.

Cause if a town local dealer has it available and you were able to review even dry there is something weird.

For your info the already 5saws (462) sold came with 20inch es light blade.
And the price is the one as seen officially at catalog of 1.199€

I am using only Stihl and only mtronics.

Stay safe.

I think I remember a conversation about one of his videos and the general consensus among chainsaw enthusiasts was that the guy is trying to reach high RPM's to promote his porting. I think in that particular video, he pretty much intentionally leaned a 346XP out so much it melted down. I think he got something like 14,700 out of it piss revving.

So, that ain't possible with the M-Tronic, therefore, the only way he can reach those impressive RPM's for the vidja is to run the 8-tooth.

I knew you were fishin'.

I typically use a family dealer that I have mutual friend with, among other dealers. My friend has been shopping at that shop for the last 30 years. If there is a new Stihl, I can get it. And, we live in Greece....nobody pays retail price.

Are you gonna buy the saw, or were you bluffing? If not, I might get it. ;)
