I use a old rag or my fingers.
Never used mix to clean flippy caps, a wipe with a old rag or wipe it off with my fingers works fine. They do collect more dust than the old style though or husky caps.You must of missed that on 101s video. He said the Stihl wasnt eco friendly because he had to wash the flippy caps out with mix before opening them.

Yeah I don’t agree with having to pour mix on a saw personally. A waste of gas anyway.I think you missed the joke. How is it the saws fault when he is the one dumping mix on it. And yes I have a brush I take with me or if it's a worse case scenario I'll just clean the tank and replace the fuel filter.
